How does ReplyGen work?
After installing the Chrome extension, a ReplyGen button appears next to reply boxes on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Threads. Click it, choose a tone (professional, casual, witty, empathetic, etc.), and ReplyGen generates a reply using the post context. You can edit it before posting.
Which platforms does ReplyGen support?
ReplyGen currently supports LinkedIn (feed posts and comments), X/Twitter (tweets and threads), and Threads by Meta. Each platform has a separate extension available on the Chrome Web Store.
Is ReplyGen free to use?
Yes — every new user gets 25 free generation tokens with no credit card required. Each reply generation uses one token. For ongoing use, a one-time Pro Membership ($9.99 per platform) includes 1,500 tokens and lifetime access. Token packs (1,500 tokens for $4.99) are available when you need more.
What AI model does ReplyGen use?
ReplyGen uses Google Gemini to generate replies server-side. Pro users can also bring their own Gemini API key (BYOK mode) for unlimited generations at no additional token cost.
What tone options are available?
ReplyGen supports multiple tones including professional, casual, witty, empathetic, concise, thought-provoking, and more. The available tones are designed specifically for each platform's audience norms.
Does ReplyGen post replies automatically?
No. ReplyGen generates a reply suggestion and inserts it into the reply box. You review and edit it before deciding to post. You are always in control.
What is BYOK mode?
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode lets Pro users enter their own Google Gemini API key. When active, reply generation uses your key directly — no tokens are deducted, so you can generate unlimited replies.
Is a Pro Membership a subscription?
No. Pro Membership is a one-time payment — you pay once per platform and have lifetime access. There are no recurring charges. Token refill packs are optional and also one-time purchases.
Does buying Pro for one platform unlock the others?
No. Pro Membership is per platform — LinkedIn Pro, X/Twitter Pro, and Threads Pro are separate purchases. However, token balance is shared across all platforms, so tokens bought or earned on one platform can be used on another.
